Thomas Schaffer comes from a family of eight, and started working at age twelve for his father’s farm and grain elevator. He saw firsthand how working families struggle to make ends meet, instilling in him the values of hard work, dedication, and commitment to family.
Lawyer Thomas Schaffer was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1990 and is a member of various legal associations. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with degrees in Education, Economics, and Law. Today, he leads Schaffer and Associates, a law firm dedicated to providing aggressive representation for injured and disabled individuals.
With extensive experience in representing injured workers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, Tom has successfully taken many cases to jury trial in Lucas and neighboring counties. He has also argued cases before Ohio appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court.
In addition to his legal work, Tom believes in giving back to the community. He serves on the boards of Advocates for Basic Legal Equality and Legal Aid of Western Ohio, providing legal assistance to those in need. He is also a past board member of the Ohio Association for Justice and the Zepf Center.
