Shannon Carey is a fourth generation attorney with a passion for the law. She has a background in human resources and has successfully represented individuals and families in complex litigations, including medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.
Shannon Carey comes from a long line of attorneys, with law running in her family for four generations. Before transitioning into a trial lawyer, Shannon spent 10 years working in human resources. Her experience spanned across various industries, such as a large health care system and a nationally prominent insurance company. This background provided Shannon with a deep understanding of how large businesses operate, giving her a unique perspective when representing her clients. Throughout her legal career, Shannon and her team have effectively represented individuals and families in intricate litigations. These cases have included medical malpractice, wrongful death, dram shop, and catastrophic injury claims. Shannon's practice is dedicated to advocating for those who have been harmed by medical providers, daycare providers, auto or motorcycle accidents, product defects, or negligent home/business owners. Shannon's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed by her peers in the legal community. In 2011, she was honored with Minnesota Lawyer's Up and Coming Lawyers award, recognizing her outstanding work within the first 10 years of her practice. Shannon was among the 25 honorees selected for this prestigious award. Most recently, Shannon was named a 2019 Minnesota Super Lawyer honoree. This title is reserved for less than 5% of practicing attorneys in Minnesota and is based on an annual survey. Additionally, Shannon has been designated as one of The Top Women Lawyers in Minnesota since 2012, selected from the Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.
