Scott J. Scherr is a highly experienced lawyer with a strong background in trying lawsuits in State and Federal Courts. He is currently admitted to practice before all Texas State Courts and various federal courts. Scott is also Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and is a member of numerous professional organizations. Scott J. Scherr is a member at Payne, Malechek, Scherr, Campbell & Moore, P.C., and has been trying lawsuits in State and Federal Courts, and in arbitration proceedings since 1992. He began his legal career trying cases in Dallas, Texas. Scott is currently admitted to practice before all Texas State Courts, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, the US Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, where he was in the Corps of Cadets and Parson’s Mounted Calvary. After working for several years, he went back to school and earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. He was an Associate Editor of the South Texas Law Review and authored a Case Note during his time there. Currently, Scott is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and is a member of various civic and professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas, the Brazos County Bar Association, the Dallas County Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and many more. In addition to his legal practice, Scott is also a Certified Mediator, showcasing his commitment to alternative dispute resolution methods.
