In 1992, Sarah returned to Austin and resumed her role as an assistant attorney general in child support enforcement for the State of Texas. From 1994 to 2007, Sarah focused on private family law matters in the private sector before shifting her practice to cases involving child protective services in 2008. She represented children and parents in cases of child abuse and neglect brought by the State. Sarah's extensive experience in family law has allowed her to handle hundreds of bench and jury trials throughout her career.
