After graduating, Lamar entered the non-profit sector before pursuing his Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) at Southern University Law Center (SULC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating in 2017. During his time at SULC, Lamar excelled as the 2016-2017 Editor-in-Chief of the Southern University Law Review, interned for the Honorable Judge Tarvald Smith of the 19th JDC in Baton Rouge, and served as a Rule 20 Lawyer for the SULC Criminal Clinic. His areas of expertise include criminal defense, with a focus on felony and federal cases, as well as DUI defense.
