Philip Adrian King is a seasoned litigator based in Worthington, Ohio, with a wealth of experience in the legal field. With over 13 years of litigation experience, King has a diverse background that sets him apart in the legal community. From 2000 to early 2007, King served as an Assistant Lawyer General (AAG) with the Corrections Unit in the Corrections Litigation Section of the Ohio Lawyer General’s Office. During this time, he handled civil litigation cases brought by inmates and committed youths, representing employees of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitations and Corrections (DRC) and the Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) in hundreds of civil cases. His involvement ranged from parole issues to prisoners\ rights issues, and he also worked on policy improvements in various areas. In addition to his litigation work, King also served as a Unit Coordinator for the Corrections Unit, where he assigned cases to unit attorneys and provided legal guidance. He established a professional development program for attorneys, conducting monthly training sessions on various legal subjects. In the years that followed, King transitioned to the role of Assistant Disciplinary Counsel (ADC), practicing exclusively before the Supreme Court of Ohio. He conducted numerous disciplinary trials and presented oral arguments before the Ohio Supreme Court. King continued to focus on professional development and training, compiling a vast storehouse of reference material for attorneys to use. King\s commitment to legal education led him to join the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in 2008, where he instructed at the annual Public Service Lawyer Trial Skills Program. He later became a lead faculty member at the NITA Bar Counsel Program in 2011, showcasing his expertise in trial advocacy. In addition to his professional work, King is dedicated to pro-bono legal work on behalf of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His passion for assisting others in a legal capacity is evident in his diverse legal background and commitment to serving his community.
