About
Learn more about Patricia M. Burns, a dedicated lawyer in Fort Worth, Texas with a strong background in business, tax, and probate litigation. My name is Patricia Cole, and my connection to North Texas runs deep. Growing up, I spent summers at my family\s farm in Mt. Vernon, Texas. After earning my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and gaining experience in the computer industry, I felt drawn back to North Texas. In 1997, I made the move to Fort Worth to pursue my legal education at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Following law school, I established my own law office, focusing on business, tax, and probate litigation in Tarrant County, Texas. In 2003, I joined the esteemed law firm of Decker, Jones, McMackin, McClane, Hall & Bates, P.C., where I continue to practice civil and probate litigation as well as transactional law. Over the years, I have grown within the firm and became a shareholder in 2010. In 2024, I was honored to be appointed as the associate judge of Tarrant County Probate Court No. 2, further solidifying my commitment to serving the community. As a proud Fort Worth resident, I am actively involved in various community organizations, including Clark Educational Services, Inc., Habitat for Humanity, and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, where I provide legal assistance to those in need. Through my legal practice and community involvement, I strive to make a positive impact and uphold the principles of justice and fairness in Fort Worth and beyond.
