With a background in labor and employment law, he has dedicated his career to representing employees, labor unions, and victims of discrimination. Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., has always been committed to fighting for the rights of workers. During his college years, he served as a Shop Steward at a Hospital, where he advocated for the rights of workers. This experience fueled his passion for labor and employment law. While studying at The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., gained valuable experience as a summer Associate at a prominent law office specializing in union-side Labor and Employment law. He also participated in the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee Minority Outreach Program, further deepening his knowledge and commitment to workers\ rights. After graduating from law school in 2002, Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., worked as an Assistant General Counsel with District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, General Counsel\s Office. In this role, he handled a wide range of labor and employment matters, including administrative trials and hearings, government investigations, state and federal litigation, and improper practice charges. Following his time at District Council 37, Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., opened The Law Offices of Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., with a focus on representing employees, labor unions, and victims of discrimination. He has successfully represented clients at various legal venues, including the National Labor Relations Board, American Arbitration Association, New York City Office of Collective Bargaining, New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, New York City Civil Service Commission, New York State Supreme Court, and United States District Court, Southern District of New York. Fausto E. Zapata, Jr., continues to be a dedicated advocate for workers\ rights in New York City, using his expertise in labor and employment law to fight for justice and equality in the workplace.
