He obtained his law degree from Florida State University in 2000, after completing his undergraduate studies in English Literature at the same university in 1996. As a former member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO), Doug has been actively involved in promoting civic engagement among Latin American and Hispanic communities.
