Michael Astrab is a dedicated trial attorney with years of experience, including a term as a Judge for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He is committed to representing individuals and families facing challenges against unfair odds, particularly in cases involving health care providers at nursing homes or assisted living facilities. I have been practicing law since 1997, with a focus on advocating for those who have been wronged by faceless corporations in the healthcare industry. Throughout my career, I have seen how profit margins often take precedence over patient care, and I am passionate about holding these corporations accountable for their actions. At Eadie Hill, I utilize my skills to fight for justice on behalf of those who have suffered due to negligence or misconduct. In addition to my legal work, I have been actively involved in addressing the opioid crisis that has gripped our region and nation. I firmly believe that pharmaceutical corporations played a significant role in creating this crisis through the aggressive marketing of painkillers. During my time as a Judge, I organized educational forums to raise awareness about the crisis and provide support to those affected. Through these efforts, I was able to reach and educate over 20,000 individuals in Northeast Ohio. On a personal level, I am also an avid runner. In 2012, I made a commitment to improve my health and fitness, shedding over 100 pounds and completing multiple half-marathons. You can often find me running or biking through the scenic trails of the Metroparks or the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, as I continue to prioritize my physical well-being and lead by example in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Overall, my dedication to seeking justice, both in the courtroom and in the community, drives my passion for making a positive impact in the lives of those I represent.
