Mark Palermo is a highly experienced lawyer in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York with over 35 years of diversified business experience, including 25 years in the practice of Law. Mr. Palermo\s professional career began at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., where he served as a middle market lending officer. He then pursued his MBA at Adelphi University before taking on the role of Vice President, Finance for The Neil Automotive Group. After earning his JD from Hofstra Law in 1993, Mr. Palermo practiced corporate law at the New York firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. During his time there, he specialized in negotiating and documenting debt and equity transactions, domestic and offshore hedge fund organizations, and structured finance transactions. Following a successful stint in corporate law, Mr. Palermo joined Gordon Brothers Capital as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he was heavily involved in financing private companies in crises, managing operations, and negotiating the sale of corporate assets. After his time at Gordon Brothers Capital, Mr. Palermo spent 18 years as a full-time faculty member at The College of Business at Stony Brook University. During his tenure, he taught courses in Law, Ethics, Finance, Economics, Negotiation, and Business Strategy while also remaining active in the practice of law. In 2019, Mr. Palermo resigned from Stony Brook University to focus solely on his legal practice. Today, he continues to provide expert legal counsel to clients in Lake Ronkonkoma and beyond.
