He is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, and he obtained his Juris Doctor in Law from Western State University College of Law, graduating second in his class. Prior to establishing his own practice in 2011 with his wife, Kelly McGrane-Irwin, Mr. Irwin gained valuable experience working as a Family Law Lawyer at another prominent firm. Mr. Irwin is a respected member of the California State Bar and the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA). He is actively involved in the Family Law Sections of both the OCBA and the California Lawyers’ Association (CLA). Additionally, Mr. Irwin served on the Orange County Family Violence Council's Steering Committee from 2004 to 2009 and played a key role in the establishment of the Orange County Family Justice Center, a comprehensive facility offering support services to victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and elder/dependent adult abuse. With nearly thirty years of prior experience in law enforcement, Mr. Irwin brings a unique perspective to his practice. He also served as the Vice-President of the non-profit Orange County Family Justice Center Foundation, Inc., from 2006-2009 and remains an active member of the Friends of the Foundation. Furthermore, Mr. Irwin has dedicated his time to mentoring students through the USC Annenberg Advantage Alumni-Student Mentoring Program and has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer on Family Law and Ethics at Western State University College of Law.
