About

Maria Isabel Cueva is a highly experienced immigration lawyer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She represents individuals and corporations across all 50 states and internationally, specializing in family-based petitions. Isabel Cueva, a first-generation immigrant from Guadalajara, Mexico, moved to the U.S. at the age of eight. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah, where she received the prestigious Larry H. and Gail Miller Enrichment Scholarship throughout her undergraduate studies. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, she was also a member of the Psi Chi National Honors Society and PHI KAPPA PHI Honors Society. After obtaining her Juris Doctorate from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, Ms. Cueva clerked for the Honorable William Nixon in the United States Executive Office for Immigration Review in Salt Lake City. She then practiced immigration law in Seattle and British Columbia, handling complex cases and building a strong reputation in the field. Recruited by a national law office in Orange County, California, Isabel Cueva established an immigration division before returning to Utah to start her own practice. Her passion for helping clients navigate the intricate legal system of Immigration Law, combined with her fluency in Spanish and understanding of Hispanic culture, enables her to meet the diverse needs of her clientele. A member of the Washington State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, Ms. Cueva is licensed to practice law in Washington and represents clients nationwide due to the federal nature of U.S. immigration law.
