About

John Joseph Donohoe graduated from Creighton Law School in 1987 with a passion for representing individuals in legal battles. Moving to Colorado Springs, he specialized in personal injury cases, criminal defense, and family law, earning a reputation for handling complex cases with success. Upon graduating from Creighton Law School in 1987, John J. Donohoe had a clear vision for his legal career. Unlike many of his peers, John\s desire was to be a trial attorney representing individuals, particularly those who were facing legal challenges against corporations or the government. He never aspired to work as a prosecutor or an insurance defense attorney. Instead, John wanted to be the voice for the "little guy" who had been falsely accused of a crime or who was fighting for fair compensation from insurance companies for injuries and damages. In October of 1987, John made the move to Colorado Springs to pursue his legal career. He joined a law office that specialized in personal injury cases, where he not only served as the lead trial attorney but also took on criminal and family law cases. Over the next 13 years, John honed his skills and developed a strong reputation for his work in handling complex divorce cases and a wide range of criminal cases. One of the most notable cases in John\s career was his first murder trial. The allegation against his client was that they had confessed to the murder on two separate occasions. However, John argued in court that these confessions were falsely obtained by law enforcement. After a month-long trial, John\s client was acquitted, marking a significant victory. It was later revealed to John by other seasoned criminal defense attorneys in the area that this was the first murder case in the region to go to trial where the defendant allegedly confessed. John Joseph Donohoe\s dedication to his clients and his commitment to seeking justice for the underrepresented have made him a respected figure in the legal community of Colorado Springs. His passion for advocating for the rights of individuals continues to drive his work as a lawyer, ensuring that those in need have a strong and experienced ally in their corner.
