David Troy McKenzie is a jury trial attorney who was admitted to practice law in Oklahoma in October 1988. He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Tenth Circuit United States Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. With over 200 criminal jury trials under his belt, including approximately 50 murder cases, and 6 civil jury trials, McKenzie has a wealth of experience in the courtroom.
McKenzie is also a respected legal educator, teaching continuing legal education courses for various legal associations in Oklahoma. He covers a wide range of topics, including Constitutional Law, Voir Dire, Cross-examination, legal ethics, and Trial Practice. McKenzie is also known for inventing the concept of a mock trial using Clarence Darrow Award recipients, in collaboration with the Oklahoma Bar Association.
