Partner David Messer is a seasoned trial lawyer with a strong courtroom presence and extensive trial experience. He joined the firm in 2007, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various areas of law. With six years of experience as a trial lawyer in Oklahoma, David has achieved numerous legally and socially significant appeals and courtroom victories.
David's current trial practice is centered around business law, with a particular emphasis on business litigation and dispute resolution. This includes handling trials, appeals, mediation, and arbitration. He has a successful track record in oil and gas litigation, construction and engineering disputes, homeowners association disputes, election disputes, and various other business disputes. David also handles high net-worth matters involving family-owned and privately-held businesses, as well as international arbitration cases involving Defense Department contracts in Afghanistan.
Licensed in both the State of Georgia and the State of Oklahoma, David is admitted to practice before the trial courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and all the Courts of the State of Oklahoma. He has successfully represented clients before the Supreme Court of Oklahoma. Additionally, David is admitted to practice in various United States District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeals.
David graduated with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2000, where he earned his J.D. He also holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music. In addition to his legal practice, David serves as an Adjunct Professor at Reinhardt College, teaching business law and ethics since 2008. He is also an advisor and consultant to several churches and non-profit charitable organizations.
Outside of his legal career, David is an avid musician. He resides in Roswell with his wife, Terri, and continues to be actively involved in both his professional and personal pursuits.
