About
Learn about Cherise Challenger\s journey from Chicago to Atlanta and how she established her own law office, the Challenger Law Group. Lawyer Cherise Challenger always knew that she wanted to be a business owner, but at first, she wasn’t sure she wanted to work in law. Her path to opening her own law office, the Challenger Law Group, developed the diverse professional experience she employs with her clients today. As a young girl growing up in Chicago, Lawyer Challenger remembers finding joy in arguing her perspective — but she didn’t know any attorneys to serve as role models. So, while attending undergraduate studies at Chicago State University, she considered becoming a teacher or a nurse. Eventually, she decided on law and graduated from the University of Arkansas, School of Law in 2008. After passing the bar, she worked as a research attorney providing up-to-date advice on the law for attorneys with small practices. Then, she moved from Texas with her husband, who is now a retired military professional, to Washington, D.C. There, she worked as a contract attorney, then focused on anti-trust work for a civil firm until her husband retired. When they decided to move their family to his hometown of Atlanta, Lawyer Challenger turned her skills to Criminal Law. She worked as a public defender before becoming a prosecutor. Then, in January 2022, she finally celebrated the opening of her own private practice. She is licensed to practice in Texas, Georgia, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her firm, based out of Tucker, Georgia and online at challengerlawgroup.com, is set apart by Lawyer Challenger’s dedication to maintaining open lines of communication with her clients with video calls and an online portal that makes it easy to share documents and updates. “My calling is about being able to help others who don’t know the system,” she said. “They’re looking for experience, guidance, and compassion to help them along the way.” Call Challenger Law Group at 404-254-1240 to get the legal help you need in personal injury or criminal defense!
