Brent Steinberg is a Florida Bar board-certified appellate specialist with extensive experience in catastrophic injury, insurance bad faith, legal malpractice, and insurance coverage cases throughout Florida and Georgia. He has a proven track record of success at both the trial and appellate levels. Brent Steinberg, a distinguished lawyer based in Tampa, Florida, is a Florida Bar board-certified appellate specialist, a title held by only 217 out of over 100,000 members of the Florida Bar. With a focus on handling catastrophic injury, insurance bad faith, legal malpractice, and insurance coverage cases, Mr. Steinberg has established himself as a trusted legal advocate in both Florida and Georgia. Mr. Steinberg\s legal career began at Swope, Rodante P.A. where he started as a law clerk in 2009. After graduating from law school in 2010, he joined the firm full time and eventually became a partner in 2018. Throughout his career, he has served as lead appellate counsel in numerous high-profile cases, appearing before the Florida Supreme Court, all six of Florida\s District Courts of Appeal, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In 2022, Mr. Steinberg successfully argued and won two significant insurance bad faith appeals at the Eleventh Circuit. Additionally, he has also acted as trial counsel in several multimillion-dollar cases, including a $30.1 million traumatic brain injury case, which resulted in the 6th highest personal injury verdict in Florida in 2019. A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Steinberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He has been recognized by prestigious organizations such as Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers Magazine, The National Trial Lawyers, and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Mr. Steinberg has also received multiple awards from the Florida Justice Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Florida Justice Association and the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association. In 2023, Mr. Steinberg was appointed to the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee, where he plays a crucial role in evaluating and recommending proposed changes to the Rules to the Supreme Court of Florida.
