Brent J Huff is a dedicated Criminal Defense Lawyer in Salt Lake City, Utah, who is passionate about defending Constitutional rights in the face of an unjust criminal justice system. I am passionate about my career as a Criminal Defense Lawyer. Every day, I have the opportunity to stand up for our Constitutional rights in a system that can often be punitive and discriminatory. In our criminal justice system, many individuals are wrongly accused, face excessive charges, harsh punishments, or are simply not treated with basic human dignity. It is my mission to help my clients navigate through this system. This may involve demonstrating to a Jury why my client is innocent, explaining to a Judge how a search or interrogation violated our Constitution, or working with a Prosecutor to achieve a fair resolution in a case. I am committed to carrying out these responsibilities and more in order to effectively represent the individuals I work with. Before establishing my own practice, I gained valuable experience at Langford-Ramos and Langford Legal. I also interned at the Salt Lake Legal Defender\s Association, the Utah Court of Appeals, and the Hill Air Force Base Office of Legal Counsel. Currently, I serve on the Utah State Bar\s Board for the Young Lawyer\s Division as the Chair of a program that offers free representation to individuals facing eviction, as well as being a Committee member for a program that provides free legal advice to Veterans. I was honored as the 2018 Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year and continue to volunteer in the Utah State and Federal Courts. Prior to entering the legal field, I served in the United States Marine Corps and the Utah National Guard. My roles as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant, Intelligence Sergeant, and Linguist have equipped me with the skills needed to succeed in my legal career. I take pride in representing veterans in my practice.
