Kevin Burke is a Buffalo business attorney with a focus on contract disputes, labor and employment issues, intellectual property protection, and trade secret cases. Since returning home from Washington, D.C. in 1999, where he graduated with honors from Georgetown University and George Washington University Law School, Kevin has represented both individuals and businesses in various legal matters. Kevin has a wealth of experience in trying major commercial and employment cases to verdict. He also handles appeals before the Appellate Division, State of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Kevin is a frequent writer and lecturer on employee mobility issues, particularly noncompete agreements. He provides counsel to clients on a range of pre-litigation matters such as business formation, employee hiring, shareholder disputes, business dissolution, and employment termination. Kevin\s practice has recently expanded to include data breach incident response counseling and cyber-security legal analysis for New York companies with employees in multiple jurisdictions. Recognized as Who’s Who in the Law and Legal Elite by The Buffalo Law Journal and Buffalo Business First, Kevin is a regular inclusion in Upstate New York’s Super Lawyers list for Commercial Litigation. Apart from his legal work, Kevin is actively involved in his community. He coaches high school students in the Bar Association of Erie County’s mock trial tournament, is a founding member of the Rotary Club of BNMC, conducts student applicant interviews for Georgetown University, and has served on the Nichols School Alumni Board.
