He began his career by passing the Pennsylvania bar in 1969 and went on to serve as the Chief Deputy Lawyer General of Pennsylvania. In this role, he oversaw delinquent tax collection for the Keystone state, gaining valuable insights into tax law and enforcement. After 26 years of dedicated service in the Lawyer General’s Office, Jay retired and transitioned to a new role as the General Counsel to CENTAX, a private Pennsylvania corporation specializing in collecting local taxes for numerous municipalities and school districts. His expertise in tax collection and legal matters made him a valuable asset to the company. In 2010, Jay made the move to Florida and joined the Van Horn Law Group as a paralegal. While he has not taken the Florida bar exam, his extensive legal background and knowledge have made him an integral part of the firm\s support team. Jay assists clients with loan modifications, foreclosure defense, and provides valuable legal insights based on his years of experience in the field. Jay is a proud graduate of Hamilton College and holds a J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law. He is an active member of the GLLN (Gay and Lesbian Lawyers Network) and is dedicated to serving the LGBT community. Jay and his husband currently reside in Wilton Manors, where they are actively involved in community initiatives and support networks.
